Origin and Physical Appearance:
The Pyrenean Mastiff is a breed that originated in the region of Aragon, Spain. They were used as livestock guardians to protect sheep from wolves, bears, and other predators. These dogs are large and muscular, standing at 25-32 inches tall and weighing between 120-240 pounds. Their thick double coat can be white or shades of gray with darker markings around their eyes and ears. The Pyrenean Mastiff’s eyes are almond-shaped and brown or amber in color.
