The nose on the Xoloitzcuintle will either be the color of its flesh or black. It will have eyes that will vary in color. They will usually be yellow or black. The ears are long and impressive, and they have a long neck which could be compared to a gazelle. The back of a Xoloitzcuintle is flexible and long. This dog breed does not have a coat. It has a single spot of hair which is located on its head.The skin color for this breed will be either gray, black, or brown. They may sometimes have markings or spots which are pink in color. The are loving with their owners, and will generally keep to themselves. They will be cautious around people they are not familiar with. This is one of the few times you will hear them bark. The Xoloitzcuintle is a breed of dog which is quiet. They are also easy to train. Because they come in different variations, they can live in virtually any environment. Those that live in apartments could purchase the Toy variation of the Xoloitzcuintle. Health ProblemsCommon health problems for this breed include skin problems such as sunburn. Besides this, the Xoloitzcuintle is a healthy breed that has few diseases. They have a maximum life span of about 15 years. ExerciseThese dogs do not need large amounts of exercise. Owners can simply let them run and play, and this will give them the exercise they need. You may also want to take them for walks, and they will be happy to follow you anywhere you go. Special Grooming NeedsEven though the Xoloitzcuintle doesn’t have hair, owners will still need to care for its skin. This breed can easily get sunburn, and owners will want to protect them from this. A simple way you can do this is by purchasing sunscreen. You will also want to take dead skin off of them as often as possible.
