Olde Boston Bulldogge Pictures and InformationOlde Boston Bulldogge DescriptionThe Olde Boston Bulldogge is similar to the Boston Bull, and has the same appearance. This breed shares its history with the Boston Terrier, since they share the same lineage. It has a skull which is round in shape, and it is a separate breed from the Boston Terrier. It is a medium sized dog, and will weigh up to 45 pounds. The Ideal Olde Boston Bulldogge will have a coat which is brown with a patch of white on its face, chest, belly, and legs. It has large eyes which may be light brown or hazel in color. The ears will point backwards, and the dog has a very short coat which is smooth. The tail on the ideal Olde Boston Bulldogge will be docked. Despite its small size, it is a muscular dog. It was bred to work, and has a number of impressive characteristics. Country of OriginUnited States TemperamentThis breed is quite affectionate, and will quickly connect with its owners. While it may be used as a family dog, it has a tendency to become closer to one family than the others. It is intelligent and can be trained easily, and will work hard to impress those who care for it. It is a fast dog that has large amounts of speed and endurance. It is strong for its size. Health ProblemsThere are no known health problems which are specific to this breed. Any ailments they suffer from are those which will also be found in most other dog breeds. Its exact life expectancy is not known, though it may not live longer than 15 years. ExerciseBecause they were bred to work, Old Boston Bulldogges need large amounts of exercise. They are not recommended for owners that can’t take them for long walks. Because they are medium in size, they can be kept indoors. A small to medium sized yard is all that is necessary if the owner wants to keep them outside. If they are kept inside, it will be up to the owner to make sure they get the right amount of exercise. Special Grooming NeedsThese dogs have smooth coats which are easy to care for. You will want to brush or comb their coats using a brush with strong bristles. They should only be bathed when they need it. You will also want to wash their faces each day with a damp towel or cloth. You will also want to make sure their ears are clean.
