A healthy Kerry Blue can live as long as 15 years. ExerciseKerry Blue Terriers enjoy extended walks. They are athletic dogs which need lots of exercise. It is possible for them to exercise indoors. They are the perfect dogs to keep inside your home or apartment, and they can also function well in a small yard. Special Grooming NeedsThese dogs will need to be groomed roughly every two months. Their hair will need to be taken out of their ears, because they can easily develop ear infections. These dogs require extensive amounts of grooming, and the owner may need to be trained on how to do this properly. Kerry Blue Terriers need to be bathed and brushed on a weekly basis. If this is not done consistently, their coat will begin to smell. If you plan on taking your pet to dog shows, it will need to be professionally groomed. This breed of dog rarely sheds hair.
