The Grand Bleu De Gascogne is a dog breed that is a member of the Scenthound family. It originates in France, and was bred to be a working dog. The coats of these dogs should be smooth and able to withstand extreme weather conditions. The desirable coat colors for the Grand Bleu De Gascogne are black marks on a white base. Two black marks may be present on the head, and they may surround the eyes as well. The Grand Bleu De Gascogne should stand at a maximum height of 27 inches, and should not weigh more than 48 pounds.

Temperament

While this breed is brave and courageous in the field, it is calm and loving around its owners. It is an excellent dog for the family, and will display a loving disposition.
