Bichon Frise Description

The Bichon Frise is a dog breed that features a distinctive coat. The coat of these dogs could be likened to a puffball. The coat is curly, and the soft undercoat can be likened to silk. The ideal color for the coat is white, though some apricot and gray may be acceptable as well. The Bichon Frise will have a circular appearance. The muzzle of these dogs should have a medium length. The teeth should form a scissors bite, and the dog should have dark colored eyes which have a circular shape. The ears should hang to the sides of the head. The tail of the Bichon Frise should curl over its back.

This breed has existed since the 14th century, and was favored by the French royalty. It was used by circus performers, and today is primarily kept as a pet.
